Mike
Gooch, AARE Auctioneer:
Well qualified to serve any auction need. He conducted his first auction around the age of eight from his barn loft selling his dad’s calves to his community barnyard buddies. From there he graduated to Future Farmers of America winning the very first FFA auction competition he entered in 1983 at the age of 15.
While attending the University of Kentucky he was licensed as an apprentice in 1989, working weekends he served a 4 year tutelage under Jessamine County’s premier auctioneer, Col. Harlan Veal Sr. Working diligently paying his dues and honing his auction skills, he worked every Saturday at a farm auction and every Saturday night in some smoky auction house.
It has truly been a labor of love and he has completely enjoyed every step of the way since his adolescent days as a young Auctioneer. He has sold everything from mini-horses to automobiles to fine antiques at auction. For the last ten years he has focused mostly on the art of selling real estate at auction. He has now sold literally hundreds of properties using the tried and true method of selling real estate at auction.
He is no stranger to publicity and high profile auctions. He was actually featured in February 2005 issue of the national “Auctioneer” magazine after conducting a very successful and highly publicized auction in Lexington. Ky.
After meeting him, you will see how his energetic and positive attitude has helped him to rise to the very top of his profession. In addition to being an accomplished auctioneer he is also a Real Estate Broker, A Certified Instructor for the KY Real Estate Commission, a motivational speaker, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors.
This local Auctioneer has "gone the extra mile" to offer the highest level of professionalism and the most up-to-date information when it comes to selling properties by earning the Accredited Auctioneer, Real Estate (AARE) designation. Offered through the National Auctioneers Association Education Institute, AARE courses cover topics such as property transfer, financial analysis and legal issues involving the sale of real estate by the auction method. Less than 1% of Auctioneers throughout North America hold the AARE designation.
